Is often a Derby Runner Cross Country League race organised by RoadHoggs
The venue/parking is also used by the County Cross Country organised by the LRAA. This uses the Pavilion and surrounding fields.
DIRECTIONS
From the north take the M1 to J22 for the A50 towards Leicester. Join the A46 eastwards until the next exit, signposted Anstey and Beaumont Leys. From the south exit the M1 at J21A for the A46. Follow local signs to Beaumont Leys Shopping Centre and then to the Police Station. Plenty of parking is available at the Shopping Centre, please use the parking area opposite the Police Station. Parking, Leisure Centre and Pavilion is a short walk from the Castle Hill Country Park.
DERBY RUNNER CROSS COUNTRY COURSE DETAILS (2005)
Castle Hill Park is a mature grassland course which is expected to be muddy and wet- there will be some small changes to the course since last time. The course a single lap on undulating terrain, including a brook section at which extra care must be taken. There are two footbridges, and some sections of trail path (with grass borders). Spikes or studs may be worn. Please do not leave any litter anywhere. CHILDREN'S COURSE: One or two short loops on grassland. POST RACE: Social will be at the bar in Leicester Leys Leisure Centre.
CHANGING
Pavilion, rear of Leicester Leys Leisure Centre, Beaumont Leys. Please do not leave. any valuables in the changing room. Ladies, please note that this is a footballers pavilion, separate changing room and one shower room available.

Course : On Thornton side of Heath, mainly woodland and grassland tracks with short distances of compacted gravel/tarmac.

Used as a cross country course in the Derby Runner League organised by Hatton Darts . CAR SHARING ESSENTIAL. Course is usually a hilly field and trail run around Battlestead Hill.
Directions : From Ashby take the A511, on the outskirts of Burton-on-Trent turn left onto Stapenhill Road before Trent Bridge ( The Swan Pub on right at the junction) Turn right at the next island onto St Peters Bridge and follow the map/handout. Alternatively use the A50.
Parking: Car share as there is limited road parking opposite the access road or in the sports ground. Usually kit bags are taken to the start/finish as it is a few minutes walk.

Fast and flat with a sting in the tail. Sometimes seperate/overlapping women's and mens races, women first. Follow parking directions, please do not park on the road.

South from Leicester on London Road/A6. At Kibworth turn right into Church Road into the village. At the roundabout turn right, then first left into Smeeton Road. Venue is on your left. The village car park is right after roundabout, then right into School Lane.

DIRECTIONS
Scraptoft is to the East of the City and can either be approached from the A47 and following Scraptoft Lane to its junction with Station Lane. Or take the Eastern Distributor Road and turn onto Scraptoft Lane at the Nuffield Hospital.

Changing at the small sports club at the rear/adjacent to the school
DIRECTIONS
From M69 junction 1 / A5 island.(approx 5mins from island to the school) Take exit off island sign posted B4109 Wolvey, follow road until you come to a T junction, approx. 1.5 miles. Turn right here up a small hill into the village. At the double islands turn right. The school is 200m along on the left. Parking is limited but available at both sites, please be patient after you have finished as you will not be allowed to leave the school car park until the last runner has finished. Very limited changing is available.
