2006 Coast to Coast - Welsh Dragon's Back
Around 40 members of West End Runners ran the Welsh Dragon's Back Coast to Coast path as a continuous relay over a June weekend. The route took the club from the north to the south coast, finishing with a dip in the sea of the Gower Peninsula. The relay covered a total distance of nearly 200 miles over mountain ranges and a total climb of 20,000 feet in the process. Relay legs varied from 8 to 14 miles over a variety of ground conditions. This years run was in aid of Childline.
Thanks to Glynn, Karim, Laura, Chris B and Tim for the photographs. There were a lot to choose from.
Email the club if you think a picture should not be appearing or if you think others should.
As usual email the club if you want a higher resolution copy for printing or authority for other uses. Go to the web page with the picture on it, copy the Address (URL) or use Internet Explorer File, Send, Link by e-mail.
Perhaps what is missing from this page is: A small map of the route. A table of Legs vs. runners. Corrections to the order of pictures. Email the club if you have something else to contribute.
Additional or other suggestions for captions would also be gratefully received. As usual names and other stuff can be seen by moving the mouse over the picture, before clicking it to see a larger version.
